Icicles No. 14.

Sex Toy Reviews for Experimental Fuckers #10

Icicles No. 14

This review contains affiliate links.

Pipedream‘s Icicles line of glass sex toys contains beautiful pieces. Glass is a wonderful sex toy material because it’s nonporous, hypoallergenic, compatible with any type of lubricant, easy to clean, and stronger than many people think it is. Many glass toys, including Icicles toys, are borosilicate glass, which is essentially Pyrex like the casserole dishes in my kitchen. Borosilicate glass is less dense than soda-lime glass, so toys made from borosilicate glass are likely less heavy than toys made from soda-lime glass. Fucking Sculptures toys are soda-lime glass. Glass toys are some of the best toys for temperature play because they become very cold and very hot. However, warm and cool soda-lime glass sex toys gradually. Be very careful when using glass toys for temperature play. To avoid injury, never freeze or boil glass toys immediately before use. Because glass is nonporous, sanitized glass sex toys are shareable. Clean glass sex toys by boiling them; wiping them down with sex toy cleaner, a wet wipe, or a 10% bleach solution; washing them with soap and water; or placing them on the top rack of the dishwasher without detergent. Although many people worry about glass sex toys breaking inside them, glass toys are actually very safe when properly taken care of. The vast majority of glass toys are solid. Be careful not to drop glass toys on a hard surface when using or cleaning them. For example, if a glass toy hits the sink during cleaning, it may crack or chip. If soda-lime glass warms or cools too quickly, the same thing might happen. Always inspect glass sex toys for damage before using them. If a glass toy shows damage like cracks or chips, don’t use it for safety reasons. When they are properly taken care of, glass sex toys can last forever.

I bought Icicles No. 14, which is a “hand-blown” or “hand-crafted” glass toy, from eXtreme Restraints. eXtreme Restraints sells glass and steel dildos and has a small selection of Icicles toys. All Icicles toys have numbers rather than names, and there are more than 65 Icicles toys in the entire line, including realistic shapes and several glass vibrators as well as glass floggers and ball gags. Icicles No. 14 arrives in a box with a magnetic flap on the front. The flap has a satiny ribbon for a handle.

WP_000771

Underneath the flap, there is a window through which the toy shows. While there are no models on the box, there are pictures of the toy from several angles, so the packaging isn’t as discreet as it could be because it’s obvious what’s inside. This toy rests in a large block of white foam that keeps it safe in transit, and I store my Icicles No. 14 in the product box when I’m not using it.

WP_000772 WP_000773

Icicles No. 14 measures 5.5″ long from end to end with 3.25″ of insertable length. This toy is 5.5″ around at the bulb’s widest point with a neck that’s 3″ around and a handle that’s 2″ across.

WP_000780 WP_000786 WP_000785 WP_000784

Made of solid glass, this toy is everything its box says it is – elegant, luxurious, and sleek. The toy has a curve, which is great for G-spot stimulation. However, the curve of this toy isn’t as extreme as the curve of the njoy Pure Wand. Icicles No. 14 is completely seamless and incredibly slick when lubricated, so only a small amount of lube is necessary. This toy has a sizable handle, so it’s safe to use as a butt plug because it won’t get lost. In fact, I usually see Icicles No. 14 sold as a plug, even though it’s also a dildo. The only thing that surprised me was this toy’s size. My first impression was that Icicles No. 14 is quite large for a butt plug. I have a vibrating Doc Johnson butt plug that’s way smaller, and it isn’t made of solid, unforgiving glass. The photo below shows my Doc Johnson plug, Rocks-Off’s Little Cocky, and Icicles No. 14.

WP_000788

Icicles No. 14 is a substantial – but not all that heavy – toy, and I worried about anal penetration with it because of its size. The photo below provides a size comparison using common objects for people who don’t own the sex toys shown above.

WP_000777

I think this toy is great as a dildo for vaginal penetration. The box calls this toy a “hand blown glass massager,” and it doesn’t mention anal play at all, in fact. Icicles No. 14 is one of the most versatile toys I own, and I decided to start with vaginal penetration because of its size. I didn’t need to use lube because I was wet enough. Glass toys don’t tend to require much lube because the material is so smooth and doesn’t absorb lube. However, this toy is relatively girthy and gets thick fast, and I needed a few attempts to slip it inside me. I even had to spread my labia to insert it, but once this toy was inside me, it felt perfect. It fits my anatomy so well, and the hard glass provides a lovely feeling of fullness. The material doesn’t give at all, so it feels amazing to squeeze. The size of Icicles No. 14 is perfect for me to use as a dildo. The glass warms to my body temperature, and the heat feels very sexy. I love this toy’s large handle. I can fit three fingers through the handle, but only two fingers fit comfortably.

WP_000776 WP_000775

Not only does the handle make this toy safe to use anally, but also the toy’s curve puts the handle in a very important spot for me. With the toy inserted vaginally, I rubbed my clitoris in circles and noticed that my fingers tapped against the handle each time they came around the bottom of my clitoris. The light tapping on the handle moved the toy from side to side inside me, and the movement enhanced the pleasure I felt from touching my clitoris. I made a conscious effort to tap the handle with each circle I made over my clit.

Although I have attempted to use this toy as a butt plug, I’ve never been able to insert it all the way. It’s just too large for me, and it’s definitely not for anal beginners. After warming up with my fingers, the Little Cocky, and a dildo, I tried to insert Icicles No. 14, and I slowly and gently pushed it almost all the way inside. I wasn’t able to fully overcome the wide bulb without feeling discomfort from the stretching, so I stopped and have accepted that I’ll likely never use this toy as a butt plug. However, as I said, I’m perfectly happy with the way Icicles No. 14 fills my vagina. It truly is a versatile toy, and I would still highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for an inexpensive glass sex toy.

Overall, Icicles No. 14 is simplistically beautiful, and I love holding it.

WP_000774

I can tell that some thought was given to the toy’s design. The handle is large, which makes the toy safe for anal insertion. It’s versatile and gender-neutral. Its size is fantastic for vaginal insertion, and the toy’s curve provides G-spot stimulation. However, this toy is large, so for people who are new to or inexperienced with anal play, I’d recommend something smaller that’s made from a less unforgiving material than glass. I love glass as a sex toy material, and this toy is a high-quality toy for a good price. To read more Icicles No. 14 reviews, visit Bean Fiddler, Sex Toy Geek, or Property Of Potter.

Pros:

  • Icicles No. 14 is borosilicate glass, so it’s nonporous, hypoallergenic, and easy to clean.
  • This toy is shareable.
  • Glass toys become very slick when lubricated, so a small amount of lube goes a long way with glass toys.
  • Glass is a great sex toy material because it’s strong, and this toy will last forever when properly cared for.
  • This toy in compatible with any type of lube.
  • Icicles No. 14, like all glass toys, is fantastic for temperature play, which adds novelty and dimension to sexual activities.
  • This toy is the perfect size for vaginal penetration. I feel slightly stretched and full when I use Icicles No. 14 as a dildo.
  • The toy’s curve provides G-spot stimulation.
  • Icicles No. 14 is one of the most versatile toys I own. Use it as a butt plug as well as a dildo.
  • For a glass toy, Icicles No. 14 isn’t expensive. I think a $25-35 price tag is definitely appropriate.

Cons:

  • The size of this toy may intimidate some people if they intend to use it as a butt plug. Its size makes it inappropriate for beginners.

Rating:  8.5/10

Sex Toy Reviews for Experimental Fuckers #9

Glow-in-the-Dark Clone-A-Willy Vibrating Dildo Kit

This review contains affiliate links.

Empire Labs started out making products for medical and prosthetic use before Hollywood realized that they could make detailed, lifelike props and use the same process for creating special effects in horror movies. Empire Labs is the manufacturer of the Make Your Own Dildo kit, Clone-A-Pussy Labia Casting Kit, and Clone-A-Willy Kit. Mike at The Play Pages contacted me about writing a review, and I chose to review the Glow-in-the-Dark Clone-A-Willy Vibrating Dildo Kit. The Clone-A-Willy Kit is available in three realistic flesh tones as well as a small variety of additional and more novel colors like neon pink. Empire Labs even offers soap, candle, and edible chocolate versions of the Clone-A-Willy Kit. The Make Your Own Dildo kit makes a penis replica dildo with testicles while the Clone-A-Willy Kit makes a penis replica dildo without testicles. I’m reviewing the Clone-A-Willy Kit, so my dildo doesn’t have balls. I’m not sure I understand the goal of their Clone-A-Pussy Labia Casting Kit because it doesn’t make a sex toy. It’s not a stroker or masturbator; it’s just a cast of the external vulva. I’m not sure how one would masturbate with it. However, the Clone-A-Willy Kit makes either a vibrating or non-vibrating penis replica dildo.

The Play Pages is a Palm Island Inc. Web site. Palm Island Inc. sells sex toys and offers services like marketing assistance for people looking to create their own store site. They offer erotic audio recordings and plan to add adult web cam services. The Play Pages has more than 1,700 items and a rotating inventory, so it’s likely that new items will appear with each visit to their site. They provide free shipping with orders over $50 and discreet billing. Returning customers get 10% off with a valid e-mail address, and because The Play Pages is a reseller, their prices are comparable to PinkCherry’s. Follow The Play Pages on Twitter.

The Clone-A-Willy Kit packaging is a plastic tube, which later contains the mold. The packaging isn’t at all discreet if someone reads the large text that says, “CLONE-A-WILLY Kit.” There’s a cartoon couple on the package.

WP_000646

The Kit includes many – but not all – of the items necessary to make a penis replica vibrator. I found detailed instructions, molding powder, a jar of liquid skin, a jar of liquid rubber, a plastic vibrator, and glow powder in my Kit. The Kit should include a thermometer and a stir stick, but I didn’t receive those items. Honestly, I could have contacted Mike about the missing pieces of my Clone-A-Willy Kit, but I didn’t because it wasn’t a big deal to me. I have a thermometer I can use, and I just used a wooden spoon instead of the stir stick.

WP_000651 WP_000650

In addition to the Kit, I needed a Sharpie, a pair of scissors, duct tape, a large measuring cup, a large mixing bowl, a timer or a stopwatch, a small square of cardboard, water, and (obviously) my fiancé’s penis. Collect and set up the items ahead of time and be prepared because portions of this process are time-sensitive.

To make a replica vibrator from my fiancé’s penis, I asked him to measure the length of his erect penis against the tube and draw a line with the Sharpie on the tube where his penis ends. I cut the open end of the tube at the Sharpie line and put tape over the cut end of the tube to cover any sharp edges left by the scissors. I used whatever tape I could find, the instructions recommend duct tape because it’s thick. The tape I used didn’t protect my fiancé from getting poked by the cut end of the tube. My fiancé’s penis is straight, but the instructions explain how to rig the tube for a guy with a curved penis. I knew it was important for the next few steps to go well because this part of the process is time-sensitive. I had to get the water to the right temperature – 98 degrees.

WP_000735

Accuracy is important when it comes to the temperature of the water because it affects the timing of the next steps. I had two minutes to mix the water and molding powder together, pour the mixture into the tube, and get my fiancé’s penis in the tube before the mixture started to gel. I learned from reading a review written by Ali that stirring the mixture for about one minute and then getting my fiancé’s penis into the tube was probably the best course of action. I’d say that her review was the most helpful, and I benefited from the wisdom of her experience.

The instructions say that the molding powder (also called “sodium alginate impression material” in the instructions) is non-toxic, silica-free, hypoallergenic, and contains no harmful ingredients. The molding powder contains sodium alginate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, cellulose, and calcium sulfate. Sodium alginate comes from brown seaweed and is an ingredient in flavorless gum and foods like yogurt and cheese. Tetrasodium pyrophosphate is about twice as toxic as table salt. It is found in health and beauty products like toothpaste and dental floss for tartar control as well as household detergents and even foods like marshmallows and pudding. Cellulose comes from plants, and calcium sulfate appears in nature as gypsum, which is the main ingredient in plaster of Paris. It’s also used in foods like tofu.

Communication between my fiancé and I was incredibly important when it came to the time-sensitive steps going well, and I would say that our communication was lacking when we attempted this project. I had wanted to try the Clone-A-Willy Kit since I received it back in February, so I had been bugging him for quite some time, and it ended up being put off more than once because he got sick, I got sick, and we don’t live alone, so we had to find a time when everyone else would be out of the house. Obviously, privacy is necessary to do this project. Honestly, when we finally decided to try it, I think neither of us was in the best mood. I felt annoyed because I had to keep nagging him about it, and he was probably irritated by my nagging¹. Anyway, it’s important to decide in advance where to do it. I needed warm water for the mixture, so I thought we’d do it in the bathroom because the floor also would be easy to clean if we spilled the mixture while putting his penis in the tube, but he seemed to think we were doing it upstairs in our bedroom, which is where the computer is, so he’d be able to watch some porn to get hard, but it’s carpeted. Another important factor to consider is how he will get and stay hard. My fiancé and I didn’t discuss this factor ahead of time, so I didn’t know whether he wanted to watch porn or have me assist him, and the situation ended up being a bit awkward. Figure out how he will get hard, how long that will take, and how he will stay hard for the next few minutes before mixing the molding powder and water. I thought he’d watch porn, but he didn’t seem comfortable doing it with me in the room, and I felt like I was waiting around for him to figure out what he was doing. Maybe bringing a laptop into the bathroom would have helped. We ended up in the bathroom with the water running while I took off my clothes, and he entered me from behind while I leaned over the sink and used the thermometer to get the water to 98 degrees. He tried thrusting a little to stay hard while I mixed the molding powder and water, and I used a stopwatch app on my cell phone to keep track of the two minutes. As I said, it was awkward, and there was a lot going on. He ended up pulling out of me in a hurry before the mixture was ready because he thought he was going to cum. I think pulling out interrupted his orgasm because he said that some cum leaked out, but it didn’t seem to me like he had experienced a full release. He wasn’t has hard as he could have been by the time we inserted his penis into the tube, so our mold wasn’t fantastic. I’m not the one who was trying to stay hard against the clock, but I can imagine that the timing likely caused him some performance anxiety as well. None of these things were the fault of the Kit, so in fairness, I stress again that clear communication is paramount to successfully executing the instructions. I also was way too worried about the difficulty of the time-sensitive steps. It wasn’t difficult at all to mix the molding powder and water and get his penis into the tube within two minutes.

I recommend doing this project in either the bathroom or the kitchen because it’s somewhat messy. The mixture is likely to run out of the tube as he inserts his penis. It dripped down my fiancé’s balls as well as getting all over his hands and mine. Put down some newspaper or a garbage bag on the floor to make cleaning up easier. Honestly, once the mixture gels and he pulls out of the tube, the material isn’t difficult to clean up. What was left in the bowl dried and flaked right off, and I washed the bowl in the dishwasher.

WP_000739 WP_000740 WP_000743 WP_000742

The material on my fiancé’s skin turned into a flexible putty and came off pretty easily, and he cleaned himself with a wet wipe or wash cloth, but I’d recommend that he shave or at least trim his pubic hair short so that the material doesn’t get stuck in his hair. Rubbing in some petroleum jelly or lube is another option if he doesn’t want to shave or trim his hair. Another avoidable issue we experienced was how uncomfortable the cut end of the tube felt against his skin. I should have used duct tape, but he also had literally just shaved beforehand, and when I pulled the tube off his penis, I saw red dots of blood around the top of the mold, so he might want to prepare a day or two in advance when it comes to shaving or trimming his hair so that he doesn’t have such sensitive skin when doing the project.

Once the mixture gelled, he pulled out of the tube, leaving the mold inside it. After we made the mold, it had to sit for two to four hours before I could use the liquid skin and liquid rubber to make the replica. I checked the mold and poured out the water that had collected at the bottom. Then, I mixed the liquid skin, liquid rubber, and glow powder together and poured the mixture into the mold. The instructions say to make this mixture in a disposable container. I cut slits in the cardboard square and slid the vibrator through until only the cap was still sticking out and lowered the vibrator into the mixture with the cardboard resting on top of the tube. The tube needs to sit this way for 24 hours. After a full 24 hours, remove the replica from the mold. Our replica ended up having air bubbles in it, which likely happened because there was too much water in the mold, so I’ll let the mold dry for a longer period of time when I try this project again.

DSC05154

I also pushed the vibrator too far into the tube. Not only does the tip stick out of the head of our replica, but also the cardboard stuck to the mixture, and I can’t get it off.

DSC05139 DSC05160 DSC05159

The other materials also contain no harmful ingredients. The liquid rubber (also called “silicone rubber base” in the instructions) and the liquid skin (also called “silicone rubber catalyst” and “platinum cure” in the instructions) both contain polydimethylsiloxane, which is a type of silicone oil that is clear, inert, non-toxic, and non-flammable. It is found in shampoo and food as well as used in Rain-X for its water-repelling properties. It is present in over-the-counter drugs and treats head lice. The glow powder (also called “phosphorescent pigment” in the instructions) contains copper-doped zinc sulfide, which is a common and widely used pigment. The vibrator is hard plastic and powered by one AA battery, which is not included in the Clone-A-Willy Kit.

DSC05147

I have issues with this vibrator. It has only one speed, so it’s weak, and the vibrations are buzzy and concentrated at the tip. Once inside the replica, the vibrations are obviously even weaker because they now have to travel through the material. To turn the vibrator off, I have to completely remove the battery, which means unscrewing and replacing the cap several times during one use of the toy. I hope the cap doesn’t break from excessive use. However, I have to say that the battery doesn’t fall out when the cap is off. Use a different, more powerful vibrator to upgrade the Clone-A-Willy Kit. Just be sure that it’s made of hard plastic to transfer the vibrations best. This toy isn’t waterproof because there is no ring to make a seal with the vibrator’s cap. However, non-vibrating replicas are waterproof.

DSC05151

While I’m not going to post a photo of my fiancé’s penis, I can say that our dildo is relatively accurate. The head is the right shape with a pronounced ridge, and the texture is right. I can see the wrinkle lines on the head clearly.

DSC05141

The shaft even has some slightly raised veins for texture, and the underside of the shaft is almost perfect except for the part where his head was against the side of the tube. As I said, he also wasn’t as hard as he could have been, and that’s certainly partially my fault. Our dildo even ended up having a base, so I can use it anally, and it’s pretty glowy. I actually didn’t want the glow-in-the-dark Kit in the beginning, but The Play Pages didn’t have the Clone-A-Willy Kit that I wanted in stock, so this one was my second choice. I think we would have had more fun making a vibrating replica of my fiancé’s penis if a few things had been different. I plan to give the Clone-A-Willy Kit another shot, and we know now that we need to communicate better. I’ll tell him to shave or trim his pubic hair a day or two before we attempt this project again, and we’ll discuss how he’ll get and stay hard and where we’ll do it. Maybe I’ll buy a good cock ring before we try again. Now that we know what to expect, I hope our replica turns out better next time. Again, the fault isn’t necessarily with the Kit, and I’m sure we can do better. Our dildo isn’t terrible, but he could have been harder, and I need to make sure the vibrator stays inside the dildo. I honestly don’t need the toy to vibrate, so I’ll probably make a non-vibrating replica next time.

DSC05136 DSC05137 DSC05135 DSC05138

Pros:

  • The materials that aren’t easy to find around the house are in the Kit.
  • The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
  • The Clone-A-Willy Kit makes an accurate replica.
  • A doctor designed the Clone-A-Willy Kit.
  • Empire Labs offers a variety of items like the Clone-A-Willy Kit and several different Clone-A-Willy Kits that make replicas from novel materials.
  • The process is pretty simple, and the materials are phthalate- and latex-free. The “finished dildo is made from a proprietary skin-like substance that is not latex or silicone, but a completely safe, [nonporous] rubber material that is…being used throughout Hollywood to create incredibly lifelike masks,” according to this product description.
  • Both water- and silicone-based lubricants are compatible with this toy. I’ve used Uberlube, which is silicone-based, without having any issues.
  • Rub in some petroleum jelly or lube if he doesn’t want to shave or trim his pubic hair.
  • This toy is easily cleaned with soap and water, and non-vibrating replicas are waterproof.
  • This project won’t break the bank. SheVibe sells the Glow-in-the-Dark Clone-A-Willy Vibrating Dildo Kit for under $40. Plus, refill packages of the materials are available if the replica doesn’t turn out as expected.
  • The Clone-A-Willy Kit is perfect for couples in long-distance relationships.

Cons:

  • My Kit was missing the thermometer and the stir stick.
  • The tips are really more like instructions, and I’d treat them that way so that the replica ends up being as accurate as possible.
  • Clear communication is paramount for successful completion of this project.
  • Be prepared with all of the necessary materials before beginning this project. I can see how the time-sensitive steps might cause performance anxiety, especially if there’s a scramble for an item that was forgotten.
  • This project is a bit messy. It’s a good idea to do this project in the bathroom or the kitchen or somewhere else that isn’t carpeted.
  • This project is best tackled by a couple. Trying to get through the process alone definitely would be more difficult.
  • This toy isn’t waterproof because of the vibrator and requires careful cleaning.
  • The vibrator has only one speed. The vibrations are weak, buzzy, and concentrated in the tip. To turn the vibrator off, remove the battery.

Rating:  7.5²/10

¹If he would do what I ask the first time I ask him to do it, then I wouldn’t have to nag him for weeks.

²After agonizing over rating this toy, I consulted my fiancé, and we agreed that this rating is appropriate because the Kit is well designed. Everything that either is vital to doing the project or might be difficult to find around the house is in the Kit. Because the tube that contains the Kit is the tube for making the mold and the product label has the instructions on the back, there are no wasted materials. It’s a solid toy, and the reasons why our replica may not have turned out exactly as we had hoped have nothing to do with the Kit and everything to do with user error.

Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube

WP_000723 WP_000725

This review contains affiliate links.

Adam & Eve Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube is a water-based lube that contains lidocaine. Dentists and other doctors inject lidocaine as a local anesthetic for minor surgery. In this case, it’s a topical anesthetic that acts quickly, and its effects last for an intermediate period of time during anal sex “for temporary relief of pain, soreness or burning in the perianal area,” according to the lube’s packaging.

WP_000726

Furthermore, lidocaine relieves itching from sunburn, insect bites or stings, and poison ivy. I was given this lube by Adam & Eve during my time as a Brand Champion on Sex Forums in exchange for an honest review. I no longer see Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube on their Web site, which isn’t a big deal since I wouldn’t recommend using a desensitizing lubricant for anal sex for safety reasons.

In general, I prefer to use water-based lubricants for their ease of use and quick cleanup. I can wipe off a water-based lube with a wet wipe and don’t need a shower to feel clean. There are thinner and thicker water-based lubricants, including gels and flavored lubes. It’s highly likely that there’s at least one water-based lube out there that’ll suit anyone’s needs. They typically aren’t greasy, and having to reapply is the one major downfall of water-based lubes. In fact, my fiancé’s number one complaint about the water-based lubricants we’ve used is that they start to dry out during sex and become tacky. They just don’t last as long as silicone-based lubricants, but silicone-based lubes are more difficult to wash off. Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube is quite runny. It’s only about half as thick as Hydra Plant Cellulose Personal Lubricant by Intimate Organics. I put a small amount of each on a plastic bag. The Intimate Organics lube is on the left, and the Adam & Eve lube is on the right.

WP_000719

The Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube spread out on the bag’s smooth surface almost twice as much. When I picked up the bag from the top and held it vertically, the Adam & Eve lube ran down the surface and reached the bottom almost twice as fast. I’d recommend a thicker lubricant for anal sex because the anus doesn’t self-lubricant like the vagina does. My fiancé and I first used KY Jelly, which is very thick, but I’m really not a fan of KY Jelly and believe we only used it because we didn’t know any better. Liquid Silk is one of my favorite lubes now. It’s actually a hybrid lube, so it isn’t strictly water-based.

Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube is smooth and odorless. The smell of this lubricant is completely neutral. Like most water-based lubes, it’s easy to clean up with soap and water or just a wet wipe or wash cloth. Because it’s water-based, it’s safe to use with all sex toys. If used with a toy, any toy cleaner will remove it.

I first used this lube while masturbating with a dildo. Instead of getting started and waiting until I was wet enough to use my natural vaginal lubrication for anal penetration, I used this lube. Penetration was easy, and I was able to get the dildo inside me the first time I tried without discomfort or pain. However, no amount or type of lube is going to make anal sex comfortable or pleasurable without relaxation on the part of the person being penetrated, and with a partner who either isn’t gentle enough or enters too quickly, anal sex can still be uncomfortable, even with lube. When I used this lubricant with my fiancé, we had started having sex without lube, and I had thought I was wet enough, but when we tried to switch to anal sex, I had difficulty taking him in. I applied this lube around the outside of my anus and just slightly inside with one finger. We tried again, and I experienced significantly less difficulty. He was able to slide inside me slowly, and my discomfort was significantly minimized. It was still a tight fit, which I expect when it comes to anal sex, but lube will help regardless of type or brand. Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube definitely makes penetration easier, but any other lubricant would do the same thing, and the lidocaine doesn’t make me feel at all desensitized. I didn’t feel any numbness or tingling when I used this lube, and the active ingredient that desensitizes isn’t going to cause a cooling sensation either. I can’t say that I felt anything.

Ingredients: lidocaine, cellulose gum, diazolidinyl urea, glycerin, isopentyldiol, methylparaben, propylene glycol, propylparaben, water

Anal sex tip:

I think this is a good place for a health disclaimer. Being desensitized or numb during anal sex is potentially dangerous. Without being able to feel discomfort or pain, a person could get hurt and not know right away. Discomfort and pain are the body’s way of saying that something’s wrong, so if there is any discomfort, pain, or bleeding during anal sex, stop immediately. Be careful when using sex toys anally. Be sure to use toys that have a large enough base or handle to prevent them from slipping completely inside and getting lost. Don’t use any product that actually causes total numbness or loss of sensation. Lidocaine is not recommended for internal use. Warming, cooling, and tingling lubes are safe for anal sex.

Pros:

  • Water-based lubricants aren’t greasy.
  • They’re easy to wash off with soap and water, a wet wipe or wash cloth, or sex toy cleaner.
  • This lube is safe to use with condoms and sex toys because it won’t degrade latex or cause discoloration in sex toy materials.
  • The price is comparable to other water-based lubricant brands in a bottle of the same or a similar size.
  • Lidocaine rarely causes adverse drug or allergic reactions.

Cons:

  • Adam & Eve Slick Sensations Desensitizing Anal Lube is “not a strong desensitizing agent,” as one customer stated in their review on Adam & Eve’s product page. In fact, I didn’t feel anything when I used this lube.
  • This lube is very thin. I’d recommend using a thicker lubricant for anal sex.
  • Being desensitized during anal sex is potentially dangerous.
  • The flip cap makes dispensing the lube messy, especially because it’s so runny.

WP_000729

  • This lubricant is not paraben- and glycerine-free. While lidocaine rarely causes adverse reactions, women may experience sensitivity to other ingredients.

Little Cocky.

Sex Toy Reviews for Experimental Fuckers #7

Little Cocky

This review contains affiliate links.

The Little Cocky is my first Rocks-Off toy. This review is my first vibrator review because the Sqweel isn’t really a vibrator. While I wanted to try a toy from a company that’s new to me, I didn’t have the highest expectations because I’ve never been a huge bullet vibrator fan. I’m sure that’s probably a sin in some sex toy reviewers’ eyes because a bullet vibe is one of the most basic sex toys. Bullet vibes have a lot of great features. They’re typically small, which makes most of them discreet and/or easily disguised as other objects, such as lipstick, a loofah, or even a rubber duckie. They’re versatile for solo use or for use during sex with a partner. Anyone of any gender or body type can use a bullet vibrator. They’re typically very easy to use and often have only one button.

DSC05107

Bullets aren’t intimidating, which is why I recommend them for people who don’t have much or any experience with sex toys.

The longer I review sex toys, the less interested in bullet vibrators I become. They’re underrated and even overlooked, and I admit that I don’t think especially highly of bullet vibrators in general. I need direct, moderate to strong clitoral stimulation with just the right amount of friction in order to achieve orgasm and haven’t really found a bullet that impresses me. It seems to me that bullet vibes often play a supporting role in people’s sex lives in a way that enhances partner sex. Many women who squirt say that they use a bullet vibrator in tandem with another – usually bigger or stronger – internal toy during masturbation sessions leading to female ejaculation. The bullet vibe is a sidekick that gives cock rings additional appeal. Bullets have taken a backseat in my sex life, but the Little Cocky is changing my mind. There might be more to bullet vibrators than I’ve come to expect. The Little Cocky has a lot to prove, but it also has a lot of potential. It’s a rising star in my sex toy collection.

The Rocks-Off Little Cocky arrives in a relatively inconspicuous box that has no models on it. It’s not neon and doesn’t have the word “vibrator” plastered across its front, but the name of the toy is prominent. The package would be more discreet if not for the window through which the toy shows. The Little Cocky consists of their RO-80mm Bullet Vibrator, which is non-recycled ABS plastic, inside a platinum-cured silicone sleeve. Sanitize only the sleeve on the top rack of the dishwasher without detergent (if the dishwasher offers that option) or by boiling it. Even though both the sleeve and bullet are nonporous, the vibrator cannot be cleaned using these methods because it has a motor. However, it’s waterproof. Use soap and water, toy cleaner or a wet wipe, or a 10% bleach solution for a worry-free clean when it comes to the bullet.

DSC05094 DSC05097 DSC05093

The entire toy is body safe. This silicone is powder soft, and I think it’s absolutely sexy to touch. I don’t think I had ever felt silicone this soft before I received this toy. Even better is the fact that this toy isn’t a lint magnet. It did pick up cat hair when I laid it down on the bed to take pictures. However, I simply blew on the toy, and the hair came right off. The sleeve has a phallic shape with a slender tip, defined ridge about a third of the way down the toy’s length, an untextured shaft, and testicles. There’s a raised Rocks-Off heart logo on the right testicle, which is the perfect place for it because it’s not on the insertable part of the toy, so it isn’t noticeable during use.

DSC05095 DSC05098

The silicone is quite firm at both ends of the sleeve. The balls provide a place to hold the toy, and the rounded head makes vaginal or anal penetration easy. The silicone in the shaft of the sleeve is thinner and very flexible, but it takes some effort to insert and remove the bullet.

DSC05102 DSC05103

The Little Cocky is waterproof. A matching pink ring makes a seal when the bullet vibrator’s cap is on.

DSC05111

This toy comes with a nice drawstring storage pouch to keep it clean between uses (read: low-maintenance). It even comes with a registration number.

DSC05105 DSC05106

It’s not difficult to see why Rocks-Off has won so many awards. I received this vibrator as a prize in a goodie bag from a Vibrator Kingdom giveaway, and they sent me the pink Little Cocky, which has a pink RO-80mm bullet. The Little Cocky also comes in black.

I think this toy’s shape is fantastic. I love the rounded head, and the ridge provides a lot of sensation and feels great popping in and out of my vagina. The balls create a large enough base that this small vibrator is safe to use as an anal plug¹. The bullet’s single button is easy to reach to cycle through the toy’s settings. I like its size. At first, I thought it was small. However, the shape is comfortable to hold, which makes the toy easy to control, so its size really doesn’t matter. Unlike the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker, this toy is very ergonomic. Rocks-Off says, “It’s not the size, it’s how you use it!” Well, they’re right. I know there are size queens who would disagree with Rocks-Off and me, and the Little Cocky isn’t big enough for everyone, but I found it surprisingly powerful with a satisfying variety of patterns. This RO-80mm bullet isn’t the single speed version. This one has seven settings – advertised as seven speeds, which isn’t exactly accurate. The only pattern with more than one speed option is the constant vibration pattern. Of this toy’s seven settings, the first three provide constant vibration at low, medium, and high speeds. The fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh settings provide four additional patterns of vibration. For me, the constant vibration settings are perfect for clitoral stimulation while the pulsating patterns feel best internally. My favorite setting is the sixth one, which vibrates in a teasingly repeating wavelike pattern that increases in strength over the course of about a second and a half. My only criticism of the Little Cocky is that its vibrations are more buzzy than rumbly, even though this toy is relatively powerful compared with other bullet vibrators I’ve used. I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and the Little Cocky’s vibrations sometimes numb my hand during masturbation. One of the best things about the Little Cocky is how quiet it is. I’ve even used it to masturbate while I was laying in bed next to my sleeping fiancé², and it didn’t disturb his slumber.

For a good toy, I don’t mind buying batteries (except watch batteries). This toy might become my go-to bullet vibrator, so its battery life mustn’t disappoint me. The Little Cocky’s battery life is definitely reasonable. I’d say that I used it probably six or eight times before the N (LR1) DC 1.5v battery started to die and I noticed decreased power. The Little Cocky’s battery looks a little like a AAA battery, but it’s shorter.

DSC05108 DSC05109 DSC05110

On the back of the box next to the bar code, there’s a battery expiration date.

WP_000586

Rocks-Off assures that their customers get the best possible experience, and this date allows retailers to remove products with old batteries from the shelf before they’re sold. I would hate to receive a toy with batteries included and find out that it’s dead on arrival. I would love to get the RO-80mm Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator, and I think buying a USB rechargeable version of this bullet that comes in a discreet beauty compact would be a good investment. I would even go so far as to suggest selling the Little Cocky with the rechargeable bullet vibe for 40-50 GBP ($65-85). In that price range, its competitors would include the LELO MIA 2 and the We-Vibe Tango.

I admit that I have a pretty big crush on the Little Cocky. I love its phallic shape and the variety of patterns it offers. I’m looking forward to upgrading it with a rechargeable version of the RO-80mm bullet. From the quality of the materials to the low-maintenance waterproof design to the customer care behind Rocks-Off’s products, the Little Cocky is such a solid toy. It’s strong enough to get me off when I’m too lazy to plug in my (Hitachi) Magic Wand, and I kept it tucked inside my pillowcase while I was reviewing it.

Pros:

  • The Little Cocky is 100% body safe.
  • I can sanitize the silicone sleeve.
  • This silicone is wonderfully powder soft.
  • This toy has a phallic shape that’s also ergonomic.
  • It’s waterproof.
  • Anyone can use a bullet vibrator, so it’s a great toy for people who don’t have much or any experience with sex toys because it’s low-maintenance and easy to use.
  • The Little Cocky has seven settings that include constant vibration at low, medium, and high speeds and four additional patterns of vibration.
  • This toy is incredibly quiet.
  • The toy arrives with a battery, so it’s immediately functional.
  • The Little Cocky’s battery life is reasonable, and the battery expiration date ensures the best possible experience.
  • Buy the RO-80mm Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator to upgrade the Little Cocky.
  • This toy comes with a registration number, and Rocks-Off’s customer care is excellent.

Cons:

  • I’d like additional color options.
  • I recommend using only water-based lubricants with this toy.
  • The Little Cocky’s vibrations are on the buzzy side and sometimes numb my hand.
  • I’d love to see Rocks-Off sell this toy with the RO-80mm Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator in the first place, which I believe could be done within a reasonable price range that allows the Little Cocky to compete with the LELO MIA 2 and the We-Vibe Tango.

¹After using this toy anally, I did notice that the silicone sleeve retained a smell. However, I boiled the sleeve, and the smell disappeared.

Kink Academy.

Sex Toy Reviews for Experimental Fuckers #6

Kink Academy

This review contains affiliate links.

I recently won Lady Cheeky’s huge Valentine’s Day giveaway, and Kink Academy donated a one-month subscription to their Web site. In fact, however, Kink Academy was so generous as to give me two months of free membership. Thank you so much to Kink Academy for this educational prize! I logged in and was able to access the site on my first attempt.

Of course, I went straight to their video library. Kink Academy’s videos cover every BDSM and kink topic I can think of and then some. On the first page alone, I saw videos about rope bondage and suspension, negotiation in D/s relationships, sensory deprivation, handcuffs, whips, aftercare, and more. Kink Academy’s videos are extremely varied and informational. They have free videos that discuss topics like consent, how to clean canes and latex, age play, water bondage, erotic humiliation, urethral sounds, and even kink on a budget. I really enjoyed this free demonstration called The Cock Helicopter¹.

I’m not an especially kinky person and haven’t tried many BDSM activities. My fiancé spanks me sometimes, but we’ve never done it in a serious way or constructed a scene. It’s always playful and never lasts long. Honestly, we had only one impact toy until recently. It’s a little cat-o’-nine-tails that came to me as a free gift when I bought my fiancé his Fleshlight. We’ve never used it. It’s a better free gift than the masks that often come with Pipedream toys, but this cat-o’-nine-tails is relatively cheap. Instead, he spanks me bare-handed. I recently received the Tantus Plunge Paddle, and we haven’t used it yet but plan to. I sensed my fiancé’s excitement as his eyes lit up when I showed him Gritty Woman‘s video. I also like being restrained. I’ve been curious about breast bondage for a long time. Ultimately, I’ve declared that this year will be my Year of the Spanking, but I can’t say I’ve made any progress yet, and it’s already March, so I’m hoping that Kink Academy will help me get started.

Kink Academy’s search bar is effective and helpful. For example, I couldn’t find videos about breast bondage using the “breasts” tag, so I went to the search bar, typed “breast bondage,” and easily found what I was looking for. I also searched “spanking” because there is no tag², and I found videos demonstrating spanking with toys, spanking positions, spanking techniques, spanking safety, and heavy-handed spanking, which was my favorite of these videos. The search bar is a great tool that allowed me to find specific videos without paging through the archives, although that’s another option. I also searched by skill level and by expert. Video labels include “basic skill,” “intermediate skill,” or “advanced skill.” Basic skill videos provide general information and discuss safety and relationship topics. They are accessible to almost everyone, even people like me who aren’t very kinky. These videos are introductions to topics and literally teach the basics. One basic skill video discusses choosing a dildo for strap-on sex. Intermediate skill videos build on what experts teach in basic skill videos. Kink Academy experts in videos at this level demonstrate alternate techniques and provide additional tips for their successful execution. Intermediate skill videos discuss safety in more depth as well. This intermediate skill video discusses adding rope to avoid running short. Advanced skill videos discuss more dangerous BDSM and kink activities. They also discuss techniques that require practice to master. For example, some advanced skill videos discuss rope suspension, breast milk play and inducing lactation, and Florentine flogging. All of Kink Academy’s videos are professional. This site isn’t a porn or tube site. Instead, it’s truly a sex education site. Kink Academy uses slow motion to show difficult concepts and techniques, and while some of their videos are arousing, they all focus on instruction. Kink Academy constantly stresses the importance of safety.

The experts at Kink Academy, also called the faculty, are definitely knowledgeable. Some are better demonstrators than others, but overall, it’s obvious that they know what they’re talking about. Kink Academy’s experts run the gamut. They’re transgender, polyamorous, sadists, certified counselors and therapists, fetishists, and exhibitionists. Experts Foxy and Sherifox are pony play grand champions. These experts are educators, introverts, comedians – and yes, some are sex workers. If I’m interested in learning something new about BDSM or kink, I know there’s a Kink Academy expert who can teach me.

Kink Academy’s blog supplements their video library with more general information about topics like rules for building healthy D/s relationships, precautions and safety tips, historical information, how to choose the right type of rope, setting the mood with music, and subspace. The blog does not seem to include videos.

Kink Academy uploads at least five new high-quality videos every week, which means their site is always current and relevant. It seems like they really care about what their members want to see and produce popular content based on user feedback and other metrics. They offer several subscription options, and their billing for membership charges is discreet.

If Kink Academy’s content is a bit too rough, they offer the same features on their sister site, Passionate U. Passionate U provides the same professional level of educational information about sex and intimacy minus the BDSM and kink topics. Some of the videos on Passionate U discuss erectile dysfunction, choosing the right condom, menopause, and even how to remove her bra. Both Ducky Doolittle and Lady Cheeky are Passionate U experts. In these videos, Ducky Doolittle discusses slowing down his orgasm, and Lady Cheeky discusses sensuality for women over 40.

Pros:

  • Kink Academy’s site is easy to navigate.
  • The extensive video library and archives cover a wide variety of BDSM and kink topics.
  • Kink Academy offers free videos that provide “health, legal and safety information that we believe all sexual beings should have access to.”
  • Passionate U, Kink Academy’s sister site, offers the same features without the kink.
  • The search bar is effective at locating specific content.
  • Kink Academy is searchable by skill level and expert in addition to more basic search tools.
  • The videos are clearly labeled and logically organized.
  • Consent and safety are constantly emphasized.
  • The high-quality videos are professional, and the experts are knowledgeable.
  • Kink Academy’s blog supplements their video library.
  • Kink Academy uploads at least five new videos every week.
  • Their billing for membership charges is discreet.

Cons:

  • Not all of Kink Academy’s videos are free. Some content is available to members only.
  • Kink Academy could make better use of tags.
  • At least one expert isn’t listed with the rest of the site’s faculty³.
  • Kink Academy’s content might be too kinky for some people.

Rating:  8.5/10

¹Although I can’t say I’m sure my fiancé would let me spin his penis like a helicopter blade.

Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker

This review contains affiliate links.

The Adam & Eve Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker (which Handmaiden simply calls the Seeker) is a non-vibrating dildo. Adam & Eve sent me this toy during my time as a Brand Champion on Sex Forums in exchange for an honest review. The Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker arrived in a clear package but now comes in a tin box like the original Sqweel. I’m glad the packaging changed because it wasn’t discreet at all. This toy comes with a satiny storage pouch that should protect the dildo from collecting hair and dust, which it does very easily if left out or simply tossed in a drawer.

DSC05058 DSC05057

Because the toy collects debris so easily, I would highly recommend cleaning it both before and after each use. My fiancé and I have two cats, and the toy collecting debris is something we certainly deal with. I had barely removed the toy from the packaging to take pictures of it before there was already cat hair on it. It’s a real hair and dust magnet, so I’m going to have to wash it off before putting it away, and I didn’t even use it this time.

DSC05067

This dildo is available in only one color – a two-tone purple combination. It looks like the letter “C” and stimulates the vagina internally, especially the G-spot, while providing external clitoral stimulation. The longer arm of the toy is the insertable arm and goes into the vagina. The dildo curves so that the nubs on the inner side of the longer arm rub against the G-spot.

DSC05062 DSC05061

The external part of the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker (the shorter arm) provides nubs that stimulate the clitoris.

DSC05064 DSC05063

This toy is “ideal for the EXPERIENCED USER.” I believe that statement is accurate because I have a hard time using this toy and have plenty of experience with sex toys.

This toy has an “ergonomic handy-grip” handle, which is held between the middle and ring fingers. The handle shows the Handmaiden logo.

DSC05059 DSC05060 handmaiden handle

When holding the dildo correctly, it should rest in the palm of the hand against the inside of the fingers.

The handle should allow the user to “[r]each all your erogenous zones at once, with greater precision, ease and comfort.” I didn’t find this toy ergonomic, precise, easy, or comfortable to use. Thrust the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker into the vagina using the motion of the whole hand and wrist. I haven’t gotten the hang of holding this toy the intended way. I suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, so this toy is difficult for me to use. Holding it the intended way fatigues my hand and wrist, which doesn’t allow me to use this toy for longer periods of time. I like the idea of the handle in theory. I honestly think it’s a good idea, but this design makes the handle uncomfortable and awkward, and I don’t think it’s big enough on the inside of my fingers to stay in place. I don’t have enough strength in my middle and ring fingers to squeeze hard enough to hold the toy, and I’d like more control over the toy’s movement. Just trying to hold it using my middle and ring fingers to take pictures is awkward, so inserting the toy and attempting to thrust with it is next to impossible.

Handmaiden states that the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker has 4″ of insertable length. I found (using a tape measure) that the insertable arm is about 6″ long from handle to tip along the outside curve of the arm, and only about 3.5-4″ of its entire available length is insertable. I measured the insertable length along the inside seam of the arm from the tip to the middle of the curve. The longer arm is almost 5″ around (girth) at the widest point, but I’ve never been able to insert the arm that far.

DSC05068 DSC05069 DSC05070

This toy is waterproof and needs no batteries. It has no moving parts and doesn’t vibrate.

My first impression of the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker was that it was smaller than I had imagined it would be. However, I was actually glad that it’s smaller in length because the toy is rather girthy and thick. Besides, stimulating the G-Spot doesn’t require much length as the G-spot is only a few inches inside the vagina. I had a difficult time inserting the dildo all the way, and the silicone is so stiff! Even with a handle, this toy is hard for me to control, and I couldn’t really hit the right spots. I tried using it laying on my back in bed, sitting on the side of the tub with both legs outside the tub, and riding it with a pillow underneath me. I needed both hands to stretch the “C” open and insert the longer arm into my vagina, and once inserted, the toy kept popping out. I remember thinking that I shouldn’t have to work so hard to get off. Lube is a must with this toy because it’s silicone, but the caveat is that lube makes the silicone very slippery and even more difficult to control. The Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker’s silicone is a nonporous material, so it doesn’t absorb lube. Keep lube away from the handle.

At first, I thought the handle was an ingenious idea. However, it doesn’t make the toy any easier to hold or operate. Unless I’m squeezing my middle and ring fingers together hard to hold the toy in place while I thrust, it’s going to move around, and I found it difficult to keep the toy where I wanted it and to keep it from popping out of me and repeatedly struggled to reinsert it. The problem is that the handle is too thin and flimsy and bends more easily than the toy. I have a feeling that the issue of control could be solved if the body of the toy was a bit more flexible. I also believe the thinness of the handle has something to do with the lack of control. The handle could probably even be made into a round shape that could be held more easily instead of a thin shape that fits between the fingers. It’s just awkward. I can’t think of a better word to describe it. I don’t know of any other sex toy – or any other object, for that matter – that is held the same way as the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker.

This toy is flexible but not flexible enough. It’s made of 100% medical grade, phthalate-free silicone, which is nonporous, so I can sanitize it. It’s soft and silky to the touch and very slippery when lubricated. The Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker doesn’t follow my body’s natural contours and is uncomfortable – even slightly painful – to use. The silicone is sturdy, but I cannot see using this toy in an energetic way. Hard or fast thrusting with the dildo seems like it would be unpleasant. I have found that riding the toy works a bit better than trying to hold the handle between my fingers. I was most successful when I knelt on the bed with a pillow folded in half between my knees and the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker nestled in the pillow so that I could lower myself onto it, positioning it inside me with both hands. The clitoral stimulator does not rub against my clitoris but provides more of a poking, pinpoint pressure that also feels uncomfortable. I usually can barely get the two nubs on the insertable arm inside me while the tip of the external arm stabs against my clit, and most of the nubs don’t come close enough to touch it. I demonstrated using my fiancé’s Fleshlight.

DSC05071

Yes, the silicone is that stiff. I need both hands to bend this toy.

handmaiden handmaiden2

I like enough girth for a little stretch, but the rigidity of the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker provides too much internal pressure. Believe it or not, I did reach orgasm relatively quickly this way while playing with my nipples. However, I was not using the toy as prescribed. This dildo is definitely a toy for advanced sex toy users.

There are three other versions of this toy: the Silicone Handmaiden Anal Dong (also called the Slim) in light blue, the Silicone Handmaiden Dong (called The Original on the packaging in the picture below) in pink, and the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Thrill (also simply called the Thrill) in two-tone blue.

The Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker has the shortest insertable length, and the Thrill is the longest. Handmaiden sold all four versions for $50 each, but Adam & Eve was selling the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker for around $35 when they sent me one. I think that’s a reasonable price for this toy based on the fact that it’s made of silicone, a quality sex toy material, but doesn’t perform well. I have to say that the nubs and handle are both good ideas in theory but aren’t effective. I like silicone toys in general, but the lack of flexibility and control ruin the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker for me. I’m sure this toy is someone’s cup of tea, but it isn’t mine. Sex Toy Geek wrote a more positive review at first but later followed up by saying that she hadn’t touched this toy since she reviewed it. The Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker ended up on her Swap List. I swapped mine with a woman who sent me the Aneros Evi in exchange.

Cleaning and care tip:

The Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker will not collect bacteria when properly washed and cared for. Because this toy is waterproof, it is easy to clean using soap and water. Boil this 100% silicone dildo to sanitize it. Another option is wiping it down with toy cleaner, a wet wipe, or a 10% bleach solution. Allow the dildo to air dry as using a towel will leave lint behind. Always store the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker in the satiny storage pouch when the toy is not in use.

Lube is a must with this toy. However, because it is silicone, silicone-based lubes are not recommended. Unfortunately, silicone-based lubes can degrade or damage silicone sex toys. Use a water-based lubricant with this dildo.

Pros:

  • It’s made of 100% medical grade silicone, which is easy to keep clean, slick when lubricated, and nonporous. Silicone can also be chilled or warmed for temperature play.
  • It’s phthalate- and latex-free.
  • It’s hypoallergenic (except for the cat hair that inevitably clings to it).
  • Clean the Silicone Handmaiden G-Spot Seeker with soap and water, on the top rack of the dishwasher without detergent, by boiling it, or using a 10% bleach solution.
  • Once it’s sanitized, this toy is safe to share.
  • Batteries aren’t required.
  • This toy is waterproof for use in the tub or shower.
  • There are three other versions of this dildo.
  • It comes with a satiny drawstring storage pouch to protect the toy from collecting debris.
  • The nubs on both arms stimulate the G-spot and clitoris at the same time.

Cons:

  • It’s flexible but not flexible enough, which can make it uncomfortable or even slightly painful to use.
  • While silicone is one of my favorite sex toy materials, it’s not appropriate to use silicone-based lubricants with this toy.
  • It collects debris very easily, so I highly recommend washing this toy both before and after each use.
  • Even with the handle, this dildo is difficult to control, which means that it might not provide consistent stimulation. I think redesigning the handle would improve this toy.

If flexibility is problematic, if hand strength is lacking, if the vagina is especially tight, or if the G-spot is harder to reach, then this toy probably will not provide as much pleasure as expected.

Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps

This review contains affiliate links and photos that are not safe for work (NSFW).

My first pair of nipple clamps is from Pipedream‘s Metal Worx line. This toy arrives in a small, hard case that I think is pretty classy. There are sticker labels on the top and bottom of the case, so it’s obvious what’s inside, but there are no models on the packaging, and the labels are easy to remove for the sake of discretion. A logo image appears on the lid of the case underneath the sticker label.

The closure is solid, easy to operate, isn’t loose and doesn’t wiggle, and definitely is strong enough to hold the case closed. The metal accents give the case an industrial look.

The case contains a removable block of foam with two cutouts that hold the nipple clamps. Cutting down the foam would create a space for storing other small objects – additional pairs of nipple clamps, for example. Because I have only one pair, I’m storing extra batteries underneath the foam.

Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps are attractive in silver and feature four clear or white decorative crystals to provide some sparkle. At this point, I have minor concerns. First, I’m not certain about the material. Pipedream lists the material as “Steel,” which I don’t doubt is possible. I’m not an expert and don’t know how to test the material to determine that it’s steel. The clamps do jingle with a metallic sound. They don’t feel as heavy as I imagined they would. However, they are small, and I have to say that the clamps feel heavier when I’m wearing them. I don’t know why. Perhaps the additional perceived weight is a result of my nipple sensitivity, the small surface area of my nipples, the size of my breasts, or the pull of gravity. I have no idea and can only guess. The magnets attract only to themselves, so if these nipple clamps are steel, then they might be made of stainless steel, and I can’t test the material based on magnetism alone because some stainless steels aren’t magnetic. A friend of mine has a nickel allergy. She even covers the back of her watch because it irritates her skin. She’s careful that jewelry she wears is not plated because plated metals might cause her to experience an allergic skin reaction. I’ve noticed that my nipple clamps scratch very easily (and after only a handful of uses).

I’ve also noticed that there was some kind of film peeling off near the crystals, but the surface underneath isn’t damaged, so I think it’s just residual glue. I’m going to take Pipedream’s word for it that the material is steel. My fiancé assures me that they’re made of steel, and he would know better than I do, so I’ll trust his judgement as well. Overall, however, I would recommend doing some research before buying Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps. I don’t know if I can recommend these clamps for everyone because I believe there’s a chance that they’re plated. Although I have very sensitive skin, I have not experienced any skin irritation as a result of wearing these clamps, but someone even more sensitive than me – like my allergic friend – might. If these clamps cause skin irritation, discontinue wearing them.

My second complaint about Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps is purely cosmetic. I don’t like the lack of sparkle in the decorative crystals. They don’t catch the light and glisten enough.

I would love to see Pipedream use Swarovski Elements crystals instead, but I know these clamps would cost more if they did.

I wanted to try these nipple clamps first because I thought that a pair of magnetic clamps would be gentle and easy for a beginner to use. Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps are gentle. In fact, I’d recommend wearing them for a short period of time to get the best results. I like to wear them during sex or masturbation essentially for an entire session of about 20-30 minutes. They don’t pinch much at first, but after a few minutes, I start to feel increased sensitivity and pressure. After only about five minutes, I start to notice how hard the clamps keep my nipples. After about ten minutes, I begin to feel the pinch. My nipples are slightly darker at this point, but there isn’t a significant change in color yet. As I approach 25 minutes, the clamps really are pinching now. My nipples are noticeably darker with purplish areas. The clamps continue to pinch and actually squeeze tightly enough to leave small indentations in the sides of my nipples after I take them off. I was curious to see how long I could wear the clamps and recently tested my limits. My longest experience wearing them was about 45 minutes, which I think is a bit too long for me. By the time I took the clamps off, the pinch was definitely painful, and I had purple areas on my nipples. I still recommend them for beginners because the pinch increases gradually, and it took all that time to become too uncomfortable for me to continue wearing them. They always eventually become too painful, so I can’t wear them all day, but they definitely work. After I removed the clamps, the pinch continued to last for several minutes during which my nipples stayed erect and sensitive.

These clamps are slightly fiddly. They definitely take two hands to put on in order to keep the magnets apart. If a clamp prematurely snaps shut and catches the tip of a nipple, it’s a bit painful like when my fiancé bites them too hard. It’s easier for me to put on these clamps myself instead of having my fiancé put them on me.

We even tried using these nipple clamps for temperature play. I put the clamps in the refrigerator for a while and told my fiancé that there was a surprise for him in the fridge. They were definitely cold to the touch at first, but they didn’t hold that temperature, which was disappointing. The only noticeable sensation before long was the gradually increasing pinch.

Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps will work best for people who have more protruding nipples. Ideally, the nipple should poke all the way through the ring.

WP_000486 WP_000513

I have large breasts that bounce around during sex, and even with somewhat protruding nipples while wearing the clamps properly, the bouncing drove the clamps closer to the tips of my nipples, and they slipped off. The magnets snapped shut with a sharp pinch that left a small, red dot about the size of a pencil point on the tip of my nipple for a couple of days. It didn’t hurt for more than a few minutes.

I bought my nipple clamps at a Black Friday sale price from PinkCherry, but they’re worth SheVibe‘s $32.99 price tag.

Finally, I have to say that – in spite of my rating – I like my Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps. They ended up being a good buy, and I’m glad I shopped around for the best price and waited for a sale. I like the price I paid for what I received, the magnets are strong enough, and the clamps work as described and expected. I’m happy with them. I can’t recommend Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps for everyone because they won’t work for every body type.

Pros:

  • Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps are attractive silver clamps with decorative crystals.
  • The hard storage case is strong, classy, and discreet with the product stickers removed.
  • These clamps genuinely are a good choice for beginners because they don’t provide a strong initial pinch and are best worn for a short period of time during which the pinch slowly builds.
  • These nipple clamps are worth a $25-35 price tag.
  • Use these nipple clamps for temperature play.

Cons:

  • I’m not positive that these nipple clamps are steel.  They might be plated, so sensitive and potentially allergic people may experience skin irritation.
  • The decorative crystals aren’t very glamorous.
  • Metal Worx Magnetic Nipple Clamps are a bit fiddly and take two hands to put on so that the magnets don’t snap shut prematurely.
  • People who have less protruding nipples may have trouble wearing these clamps.
  • If a clamp slips off, it sharply pinches the tip of the nipple.
  • Temperature play isn’t highly effective because the clamps don’t hold the temperature.
